Sarah, this is a beautiful little story and contains a lot of relatable emotion in a small space. I love your descriptions of togetherness on the couch, and inhaling the scent of her head. Brings back memories, especially of the years when Harry Potter dominated everything in our household.
And just a bit of comfort from my experience: I did miss the little girl my daughter used to be. But having a grown-up, adult daughter who had her own life yet was still deeply connected to me – now that was a joy beyond anything I could have imagined in the childhood years. Sharing an adult sense of humor with a child you've raised has got to be one of life's best rewards. There's a lot to look forward to for you and her.💛
Thank you Tina. It's always so good to hear from you. And thank you for the reminder of what hopefully lies beyond my imagination. I appreciate it. And for the luck! I'll take it. XO
Love the way you invite us into your intimate world. So relatable yet so different. What a wonderful thing to look forward to reading everyday!
Ah, thank you, Cadence! Thank you for reading!

Thank you Donna!
Uff! Jeez! Right in the heart-pit! Go easy on me, it’s early. 😁
Heart-pit! I'm stealing that!
